How To Create your Dream Life (Part 1)
There is a power that will work towards achieving your goals all day and all night with no effort on your part! All you have to do is program it and forget about it. No folks it’s not a Robotic Tony Robbins, (although that would be nice ) it’s your subconscious mind.
Here it is. The first instalment in the, “How To Create your Dream Life with your Subconscious Mind” series. This article will give you an introduction into the vast power of your subconscious mind. You have limitless potential and I want to help you realise that potential! By the end of this series you will be able to improve your life in any way you wish.
Opportunities will abound where once you saw none. The greatest gift though is that you will learn to trust this power to help and guide you through life. You will have a greater certainty about your future and you will know that any goal you long to accomplish, is yours for the taking.
In the five or so years that I have been interested in personal development I have noticed that the gurus like Tony Robbins, Napoleon Hill, Brian Tracy, W. Clement Stone and Dr. Joseph Murphy know this important fact:
Any Lasting change must take place at the level of the subconscious mind
This principle is also the golden thread that runs through books like Think and Grow Rich!, The Science of Getting Rich, and The Secret. Bob Proctor, who appears on ‘The Secret’, said at the opening of the ‘Larry King’ episode he appeared on, that we are attracting what we think about at a subconscious level. For me this was a ‘Wow’ moment as up until this point I hadn’t heard any of these ‘teachers’ make this important distinction. I feel that this is what was missing from ‘The Secret’.
If you are someone who believes that your fleeting conscious thoughts are creating reality, try it out. Tell yourself that the next car you see will be a blue Jaguar. If you’re beside a window, have a look out. Well? Wasn’t a blue Jaguar was it? I didn’t think so, it doesn’t work for me either!
I believe that it is your beliefs about reality that are creating (filtering) your reality. Obviously, then, it would be a good idea to change your beliefs so that you can create what it is you want, rather than what you don’t want.
The Master and Servant Relationship
See your conscious mind as the master and the subconscious as the servant. This will aid you in understanding that the subconscious will process any request made to it. It will obey you, no questions asked, no arguments.
If you are someone that is constantly saying, “Why does this always happen to me”, you are instructing the subconscious to make sure conditions stay the same. However, if you can say, “I feel great today”, your subconscious will find reasons for you to feel great that day. Isn’t it obvious that positive things follow positive people and evil follows evil people?
The Subconscious is MASSIVE!
Most people just don’t grasp the sheer enormity of their subconscious mind. Let me ask you this. In the past few minutes that you have been reading this article have you been aware that you have been blinking, and breathing, your heart has been pumping too? I doubt very much that you have. The reason is that you don’t have to be aware of this, your subconscious is taking care of it all for you. Why not use this same power to take care of your goals too!
I like to think of mind as an iceberg. I see the conscious mind as the tip of the iceberg and the subconscious as that enormous part below the surface. Also, this subconscious part is surrounded by a sea of infinite intelligence. In conjunction with infinite intelligence, your subconscious can bring you the answer to any difficulty or challenge you may have in your life. Folks, you would be extremely foolish not to take advantage of this.
The Word Becomes Flesh
A suggestion will be accepted by the subconscious mind at the moment that it is believed. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he”, where is the heart of the mind? It is the subconscious or unconscious mind. Dr. Joseph Murphy tells us that this is something that is actually located around the solar plexus. At the moment that you believe a conscious statement, it is passed to the subconscious and your word is made flesh! That means that what you have created in your mind must be projected onto the screen of your life. It is possible to thwart the process though, but you would have to take absolutely no action and where’s the fun in that?
It is comforting to know that your steps in realising your dream will also be guided. Job 22:28 says,
“You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways”
Consider something decreed when it has been stated and believed by you. Light will shine upon your ways as opportunities open up and your mind is flooded with ideas of how to achieve your goals.
Napoleon Hill says in Think and Grow Rich!
All thoughts which have been emotionalised (given feeling) and mixed with faith will immediately begin to transmute themselves into their physical equivalent.
This means that your creations are going from something which is real on a spiritual/mental level to something which is real on the physical plane.
I personally do something every day to program my mind for positivity and success. I have used this principle for my health; I used to have ‘acid reflux disease’ which is now completely gone! This is basically heartburn on steroids! It would burn my throat every few minutes all day, every day. I had it for about 7 years and took pills to ease it. Of course I don’t need anything any more, it’s just gone!
I have used it for my physical body. I trained my mind to accept that I was the type of person that already had this type of body. The ways and means and motivation to follow through soon followed suit.
You can use this for anything! I have come to know that there are no limits, that anything is possible. It comes from a trusting relationship with your own mind. It only takes a few small successes to build momentum and begin to realise that your only limits in life were the ones you were placing on yourself.
The next article in this series deals with the specific methods of how to program yor subconscious mind.
